Every ingredient has a purpose
- Witch hazel provides a neutral base that may have some insect repelling properties
- Aloe vera hydrates the skin without feeling sticky
- Lavender is outstanding at repelling bugs
- Lemongrass is very effective at keeping the bugs away
- Vanilla makes this blend smell so good and also repels bugs
- Lemon eucalyptus is the star of this. The CDC and WHO have shown it to be at least as effective as DEET at repelling insects
- Rosemary provides some woody base notes and also, you guessed it, deters bugs
- Peppermint is a very effective at keeping the bugs away and also adds some herbal, minty notes
